· Corley's Funeral Home has just notified us that they will be providing a free Bounce House for all attendees of the Independence Day Parade in the BG Park on Saturday, July 2nd, from 10am to 4pm. Thanks to Ron Smith, Beth Chapman and all the fine folks at Corley's!!

· Our High school principal Mr. McFarland will not return next year. He has decided to move back to his hometown of Abilene. The school is interviewing, but a new principal has not been chosen as of yet.

· A huge thank you to Commissioner James Olsen for recommending BG Community Library for a generous donation from the County.

· A Big Thanks to all the ladies that brought baked goods to the Library Bake Sale last month. We had a great turnout, and the food was YUMMY!!!

· SENIORS 2012: Senior Pictures will be taken on: July 21-Boys, July 22-Girls….Times to be announced soon.

· Students: If you are in High School English AP Classes, one of the Books on the Required Reading List is “Tears of a Tiger”, by Sharon Draper…The Library has two new copies available for check out!

· CALLING ALL ATHLETES    Physicals will be given for $15 (cash only) to our Blooming Grove Athletes at the High School Gym on the following dates & times: June 10th -  7th & 8th Grade Boys@ 1:30p.m.June 15th – 9th & 10th Grade Boys @ 1:30 p.m.

· The Ladies Sewing Circlehas tickets for $1 ea. Or six for $5 for the chance to win a beautiful handmade quilt that is large enough for a Queen Size bed.  Words can’t say enough about something as well made as this!  These ladies have TALENT!  The proceeds from the quilt will benefit the “LORD’s Acre” for the Blooming Grove UMC which has been set for September 17th….Mark your Calendars!

· Cub Scouts Pack 218 is excited to start another fun-filled year of character building, community service, exploration and most importantly fun.  We meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays at 7.pm at the Blooming Grove Community Library. · A very BIGHigh Five to all those that said Good-Bye to High School this year!  Your Parents & Your Community are so PROUD of you, and We are wishing you the BEST in your endeavors!

· The Blooming Grove Community Library would like to thank everyone who has recently donated their time, books, lawn services and even furniture and computer items.  Dedicated people like you are what keep our library up and running.  Again…A BIG THANKS!

· Volunteers Needed! Blooming Grove Community Library has been experiencing some growing pains, and as a result we are in desperate need of VOLUNTEERS.  Even one hour per week helps out the people in your community, especially the school age children that are out for the summer.  If you would like to VOLUNTEER your time (every hour counts!) · National Honor Society Members….Remember you must complete your hours of community service by the end of next year…We would be happy to put you to work!

· The Blooming Grove VFD asks everyone to please  remember  to  report  your  controlled  burns to Navarro  County  Fire  Dispatch  at  (903) 654-3001If you live in the city limits contact city hall for permits and regulations.

· Think you have what it takes to be  a Fire Fighter!? Join us at the Monthly Meetings, 7:30 p.m. at the Fire Station for recruitment information and to meet the other fire fighters

· Looking for a tax write off? Look no further!! The BG VFD  is in need of a clean, good running  SUV like a 4 door Tahoe, Suburban, Explorer or Expedition to help out with training our volunteers and getting man power  out to calls.

· Currently homeschooling? Not homeschooling, but interested in learning what works for others? If you would like to connect with homeschooling parents, meet other homeschooling families in the area, and learn about resources, we want to hear from you!
